Price- 2008
Price is important to everyone. There are several factors that determine the price of a painting or drawing. They include size, number of figures, and whether or not a fully developed background is included. The prices for the paintings include a fully developed background. An alternative to a painting is a study. A study includes only the dog (dogs) and a lightly suggested background. This simple format can be stunning and it is an economical way to start a collection. Again, size and number of figures affect the price. Please refer to the price list here as a guide only. Each job is priced individually once everything is decided upon..
Procedure:
The client receives a brief commission agreement. Upon returning the agreement and a 50% deposit a photography session is scheduled. I only work from my own resource photos so travel expenses outside of New England add to the price. I can work from the client’s photos for the mini paintings (see below).

The Mini Paintings (new!)
7” X 9” (approx.) - $1,000.00 Framed. Pastel and charcoal over wash.
From your photographs or mine. These small paintings look wonderful when framed in wide moldings (or antique frames) and hung in pairs or groups. All mini portraits include a beautiful reproduction, antique, gold frame with a black core mat.
What you are paying for:
The commission of a portrait means that you own the original. It does not mean that you own the copyright. The artist retains all rights.
