| The Poodle is a German bred water dog. The exaggerated show clip that we see today is a hold over from the poodle’s working days as a water dog. The hindquarters were clipped to facilitate movement in the water while the vital organs were left unclipped as protection from the cold water. The Poodle is funny and playful and loves nothing more than to be part of the family in every way. |
